PATIENT PHOTO GALLERY  9 year old Bel Bahadur Brought to Model Hospital by his father from the far western region of Nepal with a congenital deformity of the penis due to which he was passing urine from the perineam rather from the tip of the penis. This condition is known as "Hypospadius". Upon examination we discouvered a cardiac problem(Patent Ductus Arteriosus) which required corrective surgery before it was posible to repair the genital deformity. The cost of all investigative and diagnostic tests prior to Cardiac surgery, the surgery at the Central Cardiac Hospital, food, lodging, medication and transport was covered by Children's Medical Aid Foundation. The total amount needed to cover these expenses was 32,000 Rupies/$490. His recovery after cardiac surgery was uneventful. He has returned to his village with his father and will return in 3 months for Hospospadius surgery. This is an example of how CMAF strives to provide complete care to the needy children in Nepal. Without the help od CMAF this child would never have received care. Thanks to everyone that helps make this possible.
