During the month of August, Children’s Medical Aid Foundation (CMAF) participated in an online fund-raising challenge with GlobalGiving, a web-based resource that connects people to causes and countries they care about, focusing on projects that provide tangible impacts. The goal of this challenge was to raise at least $4,000 from at least 50 individual donors during August, expanding our donor network and connecting with more people who care about our cause.
The result: we got 60 donors and raised $5,000 toward opening the Chisang Clinic in Bhawanee, Nepal!
When the Chisang Clinic reopens, thousands of impoverished families in this rural area of Nepal will have access to basic healthcare. There are currently no other medical clinics in the region.
